Spencer Rieza-Morrison

Autumn Fourkiller

Spencer Rieza-Morrison is a Filipino American writer based in New Jersey. He is a McCormack Writing Center scholar, Aspen Words Emerging Writer Fellow, and an alumnus of the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference. He was a finalist for the Tucson Festival of Books Literary Award and a semifinalist for Story Magazine’s Foundation Prize. He received an MFA in Fiction from The New School. He started his own zine, writing about graffiti artists, skaters, boosters, and breakdancers. He is working on a multigenerational novel about Filipino propaganda artists during World War II and the Marcos dictatorship.
