Dakota Abercrombie is a 2S Ojibwe author beginning a journey out of the academic space into a reconciling with interpersonal expression, generational changes and long awaited language revival. Their time as a writer has varied from analytical survival, passionate journalism surrounding local marginalized communities, mixed media zines and poems emerging from the crevices of their daily intake. Dakota hopes to soon venture more deeply into community connection through poetic means and actions.
