Zara Chowdhary

Zara Chowdhary is a writer and educator from India. She lives in Wisconsin and teaches at the University of Wisconsin. She has an MFA in Creative Writing and Environment from Iowa State University and an MA in Writing for Performance from the University of Leeds. She has produced and written work for the stage, television, and film in the US and in India including for National Geographic, Red Chilies Entertainment, Vinod Chopra Films, Eros International, and Turner Classic Movies. Her memoir, The Lucky Ones, was named a Time Magazine Best Nonfiction Book of 2024.
