Yeldana Talgatkyzy is a Kazakh writer residing in NYC. She has received fellowships from Under the Volcano and Brooklyn Poets, and has been awarded the Bullock Poetry Prize of the Academy of American Poets and the Benjamin B. Wainwright Prize in fiction. She recently received her BA from Williams College, where she was awarded the Hubbard Hutchinson fellowship in writing. She is interested in how memory lives, individually and nationally.
