Oodie Moffett Taliaferro is a trans Nez Perce poet and birdwatcher residing on S’Klallam Territory in Washington State by way of East Texas. In their work, they explore matrilineal healing, cultural and ecological preservation, and native sovereignty. They were a 2026 McCormack Writing Center scholar, 2025 The Heart of It Writing Retreat fellow, and a 2025 Abode Press Summer Writing Workshop fellow. They believe in global interspecies liberation from settler colonialism.
