Kathryn Campo Bowen is a Salvadoran American writer born and raised in Miami, Florida. She holds graduate degrees from UC Berkeley and UC Irvine, where she was a Schaeffer Fellow. Winner of the Sonora Review fiction prize and finalist for fiction prizes from the Missouri Review, Story, and the Sewanee Review, her short stories appear in The Florida Review, Sonora Review, and Salt Hill. Her work has been supported by the Vermont Studio Center, the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, the Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts, the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, Tin House, and the Community of Writers. Presently living in Los Angeles, she is at work on a novel.
