Jake Johnson (they/them) is a trans and non-binary writer from Northern California. They have an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of California, Davis, and at the moment they are an adjunct professor in the UC Davis International Center, where they teach specialized classes about US society and culture to exchange students. Currently, they’re at work on a speculative/fabulist trans short story collection about bodies and their consequences as well as a novel, which is a contemporary and literary dark academia sequel to Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu’s Carmilla. When they aren’t writing, they can often be found walking their delightful dog Hazel or rewatching Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
