Farrah Safia Khan

Autumn Fourkiller

Farrah Khan is an author, advocate, and textile artist residing in Tkaronto (Toronto). Her work explores consent as a practice of joy, justice, and community care. Farrah is the author of Caring for Yourself is a Radical Act and co-edited the graphic novel Heartbeats: The IZZAT Project. Farrah’s writing has appeared in The Globe and Mail, Toronto Star, and Refinery 29. Currently, she is writing a narrative non-fiction book and a queer romance. Her short films have been exhibited at the Art Gallery of Ontario and the British Film Institute’s London LGBTQIA+ Film Festival. Farrah has received the Governor General’s Commemoration of the Persons Case Award, the Canadian Council of Muslim Women Who Inspire Award and the YWCA Toronto Woman of Distinction Award. Farrah’s favourite daily activity is living-room dance parties with her spouse, son, and cat, Jellybean.
